  While at Coles Langwarrin, I had 8 items and went to the express lane, which had about 7 people in it. I watched as the young man stopped and went to sell cigarettes to someone. He came back, did 2 more transactions, and went to sell cigarettes to another woman who had just walked in. I had been there 7 minuets already, so out of frustration, I placed my basket on a trolley, and walked out.

  Some flog walks up to the counter, and gets instant service over the people who have been waiting.

  Never again, will I ever shop at this store, as they really don’t give a stuff about their store, or anyone who enters it. This is not the first time it has happened, but for me, it sure is the last. Safeway’s is starting to look good.

  I phoned and spoke to the manager, who told me that there should have been 2 people working in that section, and then when I asked why should the cigarettes get priority over food, I was told that they don’t like to keep their customers waiting. In that case, what the hell was I.

  Why do smokers get priority over people who have queued up at your 2 out of 20 open registers? Its always the same..
